In efforts to keep this gathering as accessible as much as we can, this is a sliding scale, pay what you can, no one is turned away for lack of funds.

This gives us a head count and info about attendees dietary needs so our kitchen can better prepare our amazing home cooked meals during our time together.

What does sliding scale mean?

We use the Green Bottle Method to visually explain what real sliding scale means: that we must think about income level, class background, and costs. (In other words, which ‘bottle’ best represents your current financial situation?)

Sliding scale uplifts others and ensures the event is supported to provide a memorable and nourishing experience for everyone.

Sliding scales require truthfulness and transparency that can feel jarring since prices and costs are usually fixed.

If you are able to pay more or full price for the service of organizing this gathering, please know that you are actively ensuring that people who may be facing financial barriers can still receive vital community care + education, teachers and presenters can be given even more fair exchange for their contribution and we are able to serve the land, people and ecology of the New Moon Mycology Summit better.
